Currie’s dash around the bases was one of the final momentum swings in a wild Senior Day win for WKU (16-36 overall, 6-21 Conference USA).
The Owls (30-18-1, 16-11) scored the game’s first four runs, though they probably should’ve tallied more. The visitors stranded 11 runners in the first four innings alone.
WKU and the Owls split the first two games of their series, with the Hilltoppers winning 6-4 on Friday and Florida Atlantic claiming a 5-3 victory Saturday.
WKU will miss the C-USA Tournament for the third straight year since joining the conference prior to the 2015 season.
