Cure Bowl more of the same as WKU loses 27-17

Georgia State played harder, executed better and handled the Hilltoppers 27-17 on Saturday in the Cure Bowl at Camping World Stadium. The loss snapped WKU’s streak of consecutive bowl wins at three, and dropped the Hilltoppers to 6-7 on the season.

The Panthers (7-5) led the game 13-10 at halftime, then dominated the second half. They scored 17 straight points after WKU tied the game 10-10 on a Ryan Nuss field goal early in the second quarter.
