The graduate senior duo and their Western Kentucky teammates will take on Utah on Tuesday night in the National Invitation Tournament semifinals. Tipoff between the No. 4 seed Hilltoppers (27-10) and No. 2 seed Utes (22-11) is set for 6 p.m. CDT.
The forward Coleby and guard Thompson have bounced back and played well in the NIT, helping WKU make it to the event’s final four in New York. The Hilltoppers will face either Penn State or Mississippi State – both No. 4 seeds – in Thursday’s championship game if they beat Utah on Tuesday.
Both players have had the best statistical seasons of their career.
