Those scouts and front office executives came to Bowling Green to watch Western Kentucky conduct its first Pro Day. They were evaluating current Hilltoppers like Josh Anderson, Charles Bassey and Taveion Hollingsworth as the team went through a preseason practice.
Meanwhile, the Class of 2020 forward Ongenda took in the scene on a recruiting visit and imagined himself on the floor.
Ongenda took the next step in his journey Monday, announcing a commitment to WKU. He’s the first 2020 prospect pledged to coach Rick Stansbury’s program.
“They told me all the right things and they really had a plan for me set up,” Ongenda said.
