Western Kentucky sophomore Megan Clarke and junior Mary Joiner each turned in even-par 72s to pace the Lady Toppers in Tuesday’s second round of the 2019 Conference USA Women’s Golf Championship.
Clarke finished day two where she started – tied for eighth – with a 1-under 143 total over 36 holes at the par-72, 6,194-yard Verandah Club in Fort Myers, Fla. She’s tied for second in the field in par-4 scoring at 2 under.
Joiner used the best conference tournament round of her career Tuesday to push into the top 20 in a tie for 18th with a 147 (75-72) tally.
