Western Kentucky has been a Conference USA member for four full seasons. The league has sent only its tournament champion to the NCAA Tournament each of those years.
C-USA has been a one-bid league the last six seasons. That span includes the league’s current alignment, established before the 2014-15 season.
That trend continues this season, as C-USA Tournament champion Marshall received the league’s only bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Thundering Herd was handed a No. 13 seed and will face Wichita State on Friday in San Diego.
C-USA last sent multiple teams to the NCAAs in 2012, when Memphis won the league tournament and Southern Mississippi drew an at-large bid.
