Ivy Brown was selected Monday as the Conference USA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. The Western Kentucky sophomore forward was a unanimous selection for the weekly award and is the Lady Toppers’ second selection of the 2015-16 season.
Brown ran her streak of double-doubles to three straight games and scored a career-best 24 points with 10 rebounds to lead WKU past Lipscomb 64-56 on Dec. 21.
Brown posted her second 20-10 game of the year shot 8-of-10 from the field. The 80 percent mark from the field was the best of her career in a game with at least five attempts and her four takeaways were a career-best as well.
