Jeff Brohm’s Western Kentucky team won last year’s Conference USA football championship, and this year’s Hilltoppers control their destiny to do so again.
The WKU coach’s total annual pay of $808,720 ranks fourth among the 13 C-USA programs playing football in 2016, according to an online database of coaches’ salaries published Wednesday by USA Today. His annual pay ranks No. 82 nationally.
The database shows Brohm making a base salary of $805,600 in school pay, with an extra $3,120 coming from outside sources. The third-year coach also earned $150,000 in bonus pay over the last year and has a max bonus of $450,000 for accomplishing a variety of incentives.
