The Western Kentucky guard announced Wednesday on Twitter that he’s withdrawing from the NBA Draft and returning for his redshirt senior season.
Wednesday was the final day players who had entered the draft but not hired an agent could withdraw and return to college basketball.
Bearden, a 6-foot-3 guard from Milwaukee, played his first two seasons at Buffalo. He transferred to WKU after the 2015-16 season and made his Hilltopper debut during the 2017-18 campaign.
Bearden appeared in all 38 games last season and made 34 starts, averaging 27.7 minutes per game for a team that went 27-11 and advanced to the National Invitation Tournament semifinals.
