BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After dropping the game on Friday on the last at-bat, WKU (7-3) fell again in walk-off fashion Saturday as Jacksonville State (5-4) scored four in the bottom of the 11th to claim an 8-7 win in extra innings.
The final game of the series is slated to start at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, with left-handed pitcher Ryan Thurston (1-0, 3.48 ERA) facing RHP Colton Pate (0-1, 12.79 ERA) of the Gamecocks.
Errors have played a key part in both games of the series so far as the Hilltoppers’ four misplayed balls on Saturday led to four runs for Jacksonville State.
