BOCA RATON, Fla. – Senior infielder Danny Hudzina joined elite company on Saturday as WKU (24-30, 10-20 C-USA) dropped its season finale at No. 17 Florida Atlantic (37-15, 21-8 C-USA) 4-1, which was a game that was picked up in the bottom of the sixth after being suspended on Friday.
Hudzina became the 14th Hilltopper in the last 56 years to lead WKU in batting average and hold an average over .400 as he finished the year at .408. He was also the first WKU player to hit .400 for a season since Josh Patton hit .
