IRVING, Texas. – Following a terrific weekend from the plate, WKU sophomore second baseman Steven Kraft was honored by Conference USA on Monday by being named the C-USA Hitter of the Week.
The weekly award is the first of Kraft’s career as he joined teammate Thomas Peter as the two Hilltoppers receive the honor this season, with Peter claiming it after his showing at the Bulldog Invitational. Kraft was also named the C-USA Hitter of the Week by College Sports Madness earlier in the day.
Moving to the cleanup spot in the order for the first time in his career, Kraft responded with a monster series with his bat to lead WKU to a sweep over UTSA.
