BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Black Team pitching staff lowered the hammer Friday night, posting six consecutive shutout frames to close out the Red Team by a score of 12-4 and even up the Fall Word Series, 1-1.
At the plate, junior Steven Kraft reached base in all five of his plate appearances, going 2-for-2 while drawing three walks. Leading off and playing left field, Kraft scored four runs and drove in three, including a two-run triple to the right-field corner that broke a 4-4 tie in the fifth inning. Following Kraft in the order, freshman Ray Zuberer (2-for-4 with two RBI) and senior Hunter Wood (2-for-3 with three RBI) also collected a pair of hits apiece.
