BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Baseball put up three runs in the final three innings, but fell to visiting Austin Peay by a score of 7-3 on Wednesday evening. After falling behind by seven, the Hilltoppers scratched back to within four with two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth.
Leading off the seventh, Hunter Wood lined a double to left field, then he was driven in by a Chris Rogers double to the left-center field wall. Later in the inning, pinch hitter Grayson Ivey drove in Rogers from third base with a ground ball up the middle on a 3-2 pitch.
