Anderson, Bassey power Hilltoppers' rally past Marshall

WKU finished Monday night’s game at E.A. Diddle Arena on a 22-6 run, blitzing Marshall in the final minutes to win 68-59.

The Toppers (10-9, 3-3 Conference USA) snapped a five-game winning streak for the Thundering Herd (12-7, 5-1) and evened the season series between the rivals at one win apiece. Monday’s win came in a game WKU trailed 53-46 with 6:18 to go.

The 6-foot-6 guard Anderson scored 25 points, surpassing his previous career-high of 19 set last season vs. Charlotte. He was 10-of-16 from the field, 2-of-3 from 3-point range and 3-of-4 from the foul stripe.
