WVU’s Thomas-Williams dismissed from program

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University football coach Dana Holgorsen has announced that redshirt sophomore running back Donte Thomas-Williams has been dismissed from the program for a violation of team rules.

Thomas-Williams played in four games as a redshirt freshman, rushing 14 times for 43 yards with a long carry of 12 yards against Maryland.

He was initially suspended back in April heading into spring practice for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

“His future has yet to be determined,” Holgorsen said at the time.

Thomas-Williams was highly rated coming out of of Hillside High School in North Carolina as he rushed for 2,400 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior.
