One true freshman and one redshirt freshman helped the Mountaineers turn the tide against Oklahoma State. First, Osman Kamara blocked a punt in the end zone, which WVU recovered for a touchdown.
That play allowed the Mountaineers to trail the Cowboys by 13 points in the third quarter. On the Cowboys’ next possession, Kenny Robinson picked off a pass and took it 39 yards to the house. Then, it was just a six-point game. Momentum was solely on the side of the Mountaineers.
Then, the Oklahoma State offense proved it is among the best in the country and won the game, 50-39.
