WVU's Benton Eyes Journalism Career After Football

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Last week, sitting in front of a small gathering of reporters at Big 12 Media Day at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, West Virginia University senior linebacker Al-Rasheed Benton announced his future plans.

Someday when his football career is finished, he wants to become a member of the Fourth Estate.

“I actually grew up wanting to be an author and illustrator when I was younger, so I’ve always liked writing and as I got older and more into sports I sit around and talk sports all day,” he said. “Why not do it for a living?
