MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Nov. 12, 2016) – The Western Virginia University wrestling team sets off on its first road trip of the year this weekend, heading to Troy, New York, to compete in the 2016 Journeymen ASICS Collegiate Classic at Hudson Valley Community College on Sunday.
The 2016 season marks the third straight year the Mountaineers have participated in the event, though the format has moved from dual matches to an individual tournament with round-robin brackets. Wrestlers will be divided into pools at each weight class, with the winner of each pool advancing.
