“We finished the tournament on a high note in doubles,” fourth-year coach Miha Lisac said. “Overall, we saw some great progress this weekend.”
The Mountaineers began the final day with a singles match against Duquesne, where they were able to win three of the seven contests. At the No.1 position, Lyn Yuen Choo fell to Julianne Herman, 6-1 and 6-4. Carolina Lewis gave the Mountaineers their first win of the day when she defeated Kylie Isaacs, 6-3 and 7-6 (6). Paula Goetz bested Laurel Shymansky in two sets, 6-1 and 6-1.
