MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team will host the Marty Pushkin Classic on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the WVU Shell Building to open the 2016-17 indoor season.
The Mountaineers will host six teams inside the Shell Building, Alderson Broaddus, Waynesburg University, Washington and Jefferson, Davis & Elkins, Frostburg and the WVU Running Club. Field events will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by running events at 10:30 a.m.
“Racing at home for the first meet is always a plus,” coach Sean Cleary said. “The laid back atmosphere allows our track kids to ease into what will be a long and exciting year.
