MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University currently stands in 26th place in the 2016-17 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup second winter standings.
WVU has compiled 406.00 points to date. WVU picked up 229.00 points in the latest poll, with rifle’s first-place NCAA finish contributing 100 points. Men’s basketball (64 points), women’s basketball (50 points) and wrestling (15 points) also counted toward the school’s latest standing. From the fall standings, WVU picked up 177.00 points from women’s soccer (90 points), football (57 points) and cross country (30 points).
WVU ranks second among Big 12 schools, with Texas at No.
