WVU-Marshall series may come to unfortunate end

Grant Traylor of the Huntington Herald-Dispatch reported that West Virginia Athletic Director Shane Lyons made comments that didn’t exactly paint a positive picture for the future of the game in Charleston.

Or, that the game would be played at all.

“This is the last year of the contract and obviously the last year of the sponsorship as well,” Lyons said. “We haven’t talked about future scheduling at this point.”

Since the game has been played regularly in Charleston, the Mountaineers hold a 20-5 edge, after the recent 86-68 victory.
