The Rams do-it-all player channeled his inner Mountaineer and torched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.
On a night when most of the nation’s attention was turned to the new Star Wars movie, most diehard football fans were treated to an offensive explosion by Tavon Austin.
It was reminiscent of Austin’s performance on Nov. 18, 2012. Against Oklahoma, Austin rushed for a WVU-record 344 yards and set a Big 12 record with 572 all-purpose yards.
Austin had touchdown runs of 4 and 74 yards against the Sooners, though the Mountaineers fell late, 50-49.
