MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University golf team closed out its fall schedule with an 11th place finish at the Quail Valley Intercollegiate, hosted by McNeese State at Quail Valley Golf and River Club in Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday.
The Mountaineers were 14th after two rounds of play and jumped three spots in the final round to take 11th overall in the tournament. The team’s third-round score of 289 (+1) ties its second lowest round of the season. West Virginia finished with a three-round score of 299-301-289=889 for 25 over par.
North Texas and Michigan State tied for the team title, each shooting a final score of 848 for 16 under par.
