WVU football takes more hits to defensive depth with planned transfer portal entries

The West Virginia Mountaineers are continuing to see names pile up that plan to hit the transfer portal once it opens on January, taking several hits to their defensive depth over the past few days.

The most recent name came in the form of junior linebacker Caleb Nuhi-Yandall, who was a fall camp addition to the roster for the Mountaineers. Nuhi-Yandall appeared in just two games for the Mountaineers this past season, recording one tackle in Week 4 against the Kansas Jayhawks. He joined the Mountaineers after a sophomore stint at Cerritos College, where he finished the season with 52 tackles, and will have 2-3 years of eligibility remaining pending the outcome of a current lawsuit seeking extra eligibility for former JUCO players.
