With 47 letters of intent signed and delivered, WVU football is walking away from the Early Signing Period in December with a 2026 recruiting class among the program’s best in its history.
The Mountaineers are mostly done bringing home their stunningly large class of high school and JUCO prospects for 2026, and it’s hard to argue the results are anything but a potential gamechanger for the program. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, WVU has signed the 25th-best recruiting class this offseason. That’s the program’s second-best class dating back to 2000 (the earliest such rankings can be tracked), only topped by a 2009 class that saw the Mountaineers land Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, and Stedman Bailey.
