WVU football adds veteran starting offensive guard, SEC wideout in transfer portal

The West Virginia Mountaineers added two new commitments out of the transfer portal on Thursday, adding more starting experience at the FBS level along the offensive line and an SEC wide receiver with connection to WVU football's 2026 signing class.

The Mountaineers kicked things off on Thursday by securing a commitment from Wyoming offensive guard Wes King. King adds the size head coach Rich Rodriguez spent last season highlighting as a need along the offensive line, as he brings a 6-foot-5, 315-pound frame. He has spent the past three seasons starting for the Cowboys, and has allowed zero sacks over the course of 1,750 collegiate snaps.
