WVU Falls on Senior Night

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s soccer team closed its home season with a 2-1 loss to Buffalo on Saturday night.

The Mountaineers fell to 6-5-1 (0-2 Mid-American Conference), while the Bulls improved to 9-3-1 (1-1 MAC). Senior defender Jack Elliott scored his first goal of the season in the 11th minute before UB answered three minutes later and took the lead in the 36th minute.

“It’s my fault, I didn’t have my team ready to play, clearly,” WVU coach Marlon LeBlanc said. “We didn’t work hard enough, we got out-worked on our home pitch for the fourth game in a row and that’s my fault.
