MORGANTOWN, W.Va – The West Virginia University women’s tennis team won five of six matches in doubles and posted four wins in singles play on the second day of the Viking Invitational in Cleveland, Ohio.
“We had an opportunity to play a lot of matches today in singles and doubles,” said coach Miha Lisac. “It is good for us to be in competitive situations and give the team a chance to learn from competitive situations. We saw some solid competing in doubles from our teams. We handled singles’ situations better than yesterday.”
WVU opened the day with a doubles match against Duquesne, where the Mountaineers found themselves the victors in two of the three matches.
