MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team held the 2015 WVU Alumni Open Tuesday evening at the Mon River Rail Trail.
The Mountaineers had a total of 22 runners on the 4k trail, seven of which were alumni.
A unique aspect of the WVU Alumni Open is that runners compete in teams of two. The race included a total of 11 teams, with one teammate running the first leg of the race and the second runner making the return trip. Runners recorded both a team time and an individual time.
WVU will head to University Park, Pennsylvania, to compete at the PSU Spiked Shoe Invitational on Friday, Sept.
