WVU Checks in at No. 75

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –For what is believed to be the first time in program history, the West Virginia University women’s tennis team checks in at No. 75 in this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Poll.

The WVU women’s tennis program began in 1974 under former coach Martha Thorn with the ITA women’s rankings dating back to 1984.

“I am happy for the team to receive this recognition,” third-year coach Miha Lisac said. “The student-athletes have put in a good amount of work this year, and it is great to see the results of that work. We are focused on getting better one week at a time, and we are dedicated to making progress.
