League play begins Saturday against Kansas State.
“Kansas State is playing really, really well,” WVU head coach Bob Huggins said. “They did what we did, you add some malcontents and they went elsewhere and you think you’re not going to be as good and you end up being so much better because you have everybody on the same page.”
In the Mountaineers’ three previous seasons in the Big 12, they are 3-3 against Kansas State. Before sweeping the Wildcats a year ago, WVU and KSU split in 2015 and the Wildcats earned two wins over the Mountaineers the year before that.
