The West Virginia Mountaineers, despite their lackluster 2018-2019 season have been picked to finish fifth in the Big 12 conference this year. The pick goes to show the respect that coaches around the league have for Bob Huggins and his ability to transform a team. Huggins, who suffered through one of the worst seasons in his career, immediately made it a mission to fix the mess he created.
Huggins went hard on the recruiting trail and grabbed Oscar Tshiebwe, a five-star big man who plays at another level. He also was able to convince Jalen Bridges, a 4-star small forward from Fairmont to join the Mountaineers.
