On Saturday in Stillwater, Okla. the Mountaineers defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 70-56. It was their second win of the season over OSU.
With the win, the Mountaineers gained sole possession of second place in the Big 12 Conference, as Texas beat Oklahoma, 76-63.
The victory reminded WVU head coach Bob Huggins of his team’s days in the Big East.
“All they were doing to us (defensively) is what Louisville used to do to us all the time – play the three inside guys in the triangle and we’re running what we call ‘pop’ and they’re just playing it man-to-man,” said Huggins.
