For the second-straight game, the West Virginia basketball team saw itself down at halftime.
A late surge, though, lifted the Mountaineers to a 95-87 win over the home standing TCU Horned Frogs on Monday.
”That’s a good basketball team, we had a hard time guarding them in man, had a hard time guarding them in zone,” TCU head coach Trent Johnson said.
The WVU basketball team led 10-0 right from the start, but the Horned Frogs were able to catch up by forcing turnovers and scoring on the other end.
In the end, it was the Mountaineers’ poise and confidence on offense that allowed them to improve to 2-0 in Big 12 Conference play and go 3-0 on a road trip that started with a win at Virginia Tech on Dec.
