MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University Director of Athletics Shane Lyons has announced the 2016-17 women’s basketball nonconference schedule.
The Mountaineers will play 12 regular season nonconference games and will participate in the inaugural Savannah Invitational during Thanksgiving week. West Virginia will play eight home games at the WVU Coliseum and one home contest in Charleston, West Virginia.
“This nonconference schedule provides a nice balance for us as we prepare our team for Big 12 conference action,” coach Mike Carey said. “We will be challenged early on with games against Auburn and Ole Miss. I am very excited about our team this year and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish.
