Women’s basketball star Tynice Martin reaches plea agreement on domestic battery charge

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A West Virginia University women’s basketball star reached a plea agreement Wednesday on a charge of domestic battery.

Under the agreement, senior guard Tynice Martin pleaded no contest inside Monongalia County Magistrate Court. Martin will be on probation for one year.

The terms of Martin’s probation include:

  • no contact with the victim
  • participation in the Monongalia County Day Report Center
  • complinace with all resolution terms through the West Virginia University Student Code of Conduct

If Martin were to violate the terms of her probation, she could face up to one year in jail and a $500 fine.
