MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — William Crest’s one-handed stab during Wednesday afternoon’s practice brought hoots from his fellow West Virginia receivers
He possesses huge hands and a huge yearning to contribute in some capacity for the Mountaineers this season.
Playing quarterback hasn’t panned out for Crest at West Virginia, and neither has running back or safety. So it seemed only natural last Jan. 16 when the former four-star recruit announced that he was transferring. The surprising part followed three months later, when after looking into various FCS programs, Crest revealed May 15 that he was returning to the Mountaineers for his senior season.
