In a game that was never really close, the West Virginia Mountaineers (15-21) fell to Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (17-16) 109-91 to bring an end to a season that has been little short of a disaster.
The game, in some ways, played out as a microcosm of the season as Derek Culver — who has quickly become the key player for the Mountaineers after the losses of starters Esa Ahmed, Wesley Harris, Beetle Bolden and Sagaba Konate — sat out for the first half for unspecified reasons before returning in the second half.
