West Virginia’s game against Buffalo canceled

Basketball

The #7 West Virginia men’s basketball team has announced that its December 29th game against Buffalo has been canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Bulls’ program. The Mountaineers were set to face UB for the fifth time in program history, hoping to avenge their 2018 meeting in which the Bulls upset WVU in Morgantown to open the 2018-19 season. Buffalo won that game in overtime, 99–94.

West Virginia men’s basketball moved up one spot to #7 in the latest edition of the AP Top 25 on Monday. WVU is one of five Big 12 schools in the poll.
