MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s basketball team was tabbed No. 22 in the Associated Press Top 25 Preseason Poll released on Tuesday.
Last week, West Virginia was ranked No. 25 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Preseason Poll.
West Virginia finished the 2015-16 season with a 25-10 overall record and a 12-6 third-place finish in the Big 12. The Mountaineers advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 11th time overall and reached the NCAA Second Round for the ninth time. WVU finished ranked No. 23 in the Associated Press and No. 25 in the USA TODAYSports Coaches Top 25 polls last season.
