This is the favorite uniform of the Mountaineers since they switched to the latest iteration. These uniforms have been worn a total of eight times since 2013. Unfortunately for West Virginia, they do not have a winning record in these uniforms. The Mountaineers have beaten TCU [2013] and Iowa State [2015 & 2016] in these threads while losing to: Oklahoma (twice), Kansas, Kansas State and Alabama.
The Mountaineers are the visiting team in the September 3rd clash against the Hokies, which is why they will wear the whites.
