The West Virginia Mountaineers (21-10, 9-9 Big 12) closed out the regular season with a return to their early-season form and a dominate win over the No. 4 Baylor Bears at home, 76-64.
Things got off to a rough start for Bob Huggins’ squad, as the Mountaineers struggled to get anything going while the Bears built a 9-0 lead through the first 5:07 of the game.
Two made free throws from Oscar Tshiebwe created the spark West Virginia needed, and the Mountaineers answered back with a 19-2 run to take a 8 point lead with six minutes left in the half.
