KC Huth also hit a two-run blast in the second inning, his second homer in a weekend where the Mountaineers (5-1) hit eight overall and outscored the Rebels 31-11.
B.J. Myers (2-0) allowed one unearned run on three hits over seven innings, maintaining his spotless ERA through two starts. He fanned four, walked one and threw 91 pitches.
West Virginia outhit UNLV 14-6 to win its fifth straight, matching the program’s best start since 2006.
