In their weekly projections, Baseball America and D1Baseball had West Virginia (22-13, 8-4 Big 12) as a regional host in this year’s NCAA Baseball Tournament.
They were placed as an unseeded host (only the top 8 teams are seeded), but locked up against #2 North Carolina (D1Baseball) #8 LSU (Baseball America) for Super Regional implications.
