West Virginia now set to face South Dakota State in men’s basketball opener

Oklahoma has the nation’s eighth-rated passing attack averaging 343.9 yards per game going against West Virginia’s #1 pass defense that is allowing just 161.5 yards per contest. Overall, WVU is fourth in total defense giving up 274 yards per game and 13th in scoring defense surrendering 17.8 points per game.

According to West Virginia head coach Neal Brown, the common theme to all of Oklahoma’s explosive plays in the passing game against Oklahoma State was Stoops’ perimeter blocking. How will WVU create pressure to stop those explosive plays? Another obstacle the Mountaineers will face against OU is the Sooners’ ability to outscore their opponents in the first quarter.
