No decision has been made regarding Dana Holgorsen’s status as West Virginia’s football coach, but Holgorsen and first-year athletic director Shane Lyons have talked about the situation multiple times and will have more conversations in the coming days, according to a report from the Charleston Gazette-Mail.
In his fifth season at West Virginia, Holgorsen has gone 35-28, but his teams have not surpassed seven wins since his first season in 2011 and he has recorded a 15-21 record in Big 12 Conference games. Since it joined the Big 12 in 2012, West Virginia has finished with a winning record in conference play once.
