MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The voting public was impressed on different levels by West Virginia’s 58-14 win over Baylor on Thursday night.
The Mountaineers moved back into the Top 10 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, jumping two spots from 12th last week thanks to losses by No. 7 Texas and No. 11 Florida.
West Virginia is ranked 12th in the AP Top 25 following its Baylor beat-down, up just one spot from last week. AP poll voters were more impressed by Washington State, which followed up its statement win against Oregon with a 41-38 road win at Stanford.
