West Virginia Jumps Ohio State In Coaches Poll

The West Virginia Mountaineers used the worst beatdown in Gary Patterson’s history as TCU Horned Frogs head coach to leap frog, pardon the pun, past the Ohio State Buckeyes and land at number 7 in the coaches poll. The Buckeyes looked lackluster in their game against the Michigan State Spartans while the Mountaineers have looked like a team peaking at the right time.

Since an early October beating by Iowa State, the Mountaineers have found renewed vigor. West Virginia jumped all over a Baylor team that has played well, then used a gutsy two-point conversion to beat then #15 Texas Longhorns in front of their largest home crowd - ever.
